Following Covid-19 and the massive shift to hybrid working, companies today are moving away from traditional, fixed workspaces. Instead, they must design spaces that can be easily reconfigured to accommodate different tasks and team sizes.
Trend #2
Health & Wellness.
The past two years have shed light on to the effects of our environment on our wellbeing. Workplace design is increasingly focused on promoting the physical and mental well-being of employees and has expanded to include things like ample natural light, plants, and comfortable seating, as well as dedicated spaces for serenity and peace.
Trend #3

Since 2020, there has been a growing emphasis on designing spaces that facilitate seamless integration of devices and systems. This can include things like wireless charging stations, flexible power and data solutions, and smart building technology.
Trend #4
Biophilia.
This trend is based on research suggesting that nature plays a key role to our wellbeing, energy and productivity. Modern and innovative workplaces incorporate natural elements and patterns into design, such as wood, plants, and natural light, to create a connection between the built environment and nature.
Trend #5
Collaboration and Community.
People can work from ANYWHERE. We know because Covid-19 turned out to be the biggest remote work experiment... and it succeeded! So why come to the office? In 2023, this question has to be addressed. And part of the right answer is "for collaboration and community". Therefore, workplace design is increasingly focused on creating spaces that foster collaboration and community among employees. This can include things like shared spaces for 'fun and play', social zones, and wind-down areas.
Trend #6

The companies that require from their employees to be physically present face a great challenge: how to compete with the comfort and warmth of one's home? The boundaries between office and home design are becoming increasingly blurred to respond to this need. Innovative workplaces are now being designed to cater to individual needs and preferences. This includes things like sit-stand desks, privacy pods, and other flexible furniture that can be adapted to different working styles.

Companies are increasingly workplace design to tell their brand story and create a unique corporate identity, a trend which we expect will expand. This can include things like incorporating company colors, logos, and images into the design.
Trend #8
Experiential design.
This trend focuses on creating a sense of belonging and creating an overall experience that supports the company's culture and mission. This can include things like creating a unique atmosphere, incorporating artwork and sculptures, and designing interactive spaces.

Companies are becoming more conscious of their environmental impact and designing spaces with sustainable features like energy-efficient lighting and HVAC systems, use of reclaimed materials, and green roofs and walls.
