Revolutionizing Workspace Design in Financial Services

In the fast-evolving world of financial services, organizations are faced with myriad challenges, from market volatility to rapid technological advancements and the shifting demands of a hybrid workforce. Recognizing the need to stay ahead in such a dynamic landscape, our client, a leader in financial management services, embarked on a transformative journey to redesign their work environment. Our client serves multiple sectors including energy, telecom, retail, and banking and operates across more than 20 countries, employing over 10,000 skilled professionals dedicated to enhancing financial services through innovation and ethical practice.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the client introduced a dynamic hybrid work model, reflecting their dedication to innovation, growth, and sustainability. This new working approach required transforming the traditional office into a hub that attracts talent and promotes engagement, productivity, and a sense of belonging. The design needed to incorporate a plug-and-play infrastructure and hot-desking, streamlining the space while maximizing efficiency. Previously, the company occupied two buildings, each with multiple floors, but with their shift the consolidated their operations into a single building, spanning four 1,000-squared-meters floors and three 1,600-squared-metres floors. This consolidation demanded a workplace strategy that enhanced collaboration and flexibility.

The design strategy for the offices was underpinned by the vision to create an environment that facilitates seamless interactions while accommodating the diverse needs of its workforce. The space was envisioned to be multifunctional, blending open-plan areas with private booths and meeting rooms to support both collaboration and individual work.

Advanced technology was integrated throughout the space to ensure that all operations are streamlined and that communication is effective, regardless of whether employees are working onsite or remotely. This was complemented by a sophisticated use of branding and personalized spaces that reflect the client’s corporate identity and values, making every corner of the office both functional and inspiring.

Sustainability was another key pillar of the design. Materials and technologies were selected not only for their durability and aesthetic appeal but also for their low environmental impact, supporting Intrum’s commitment to sustainability without compromising on quality or functionality.

The work done for our client exemplifies how thoughtful design can create environments that not only meet the current demands for productivity, but are also poised to positively influence the company’s culture. These spaces are more than just places to work; they are places where innovation thrives, where every detail is tailored to enhance daily operations and support the well-being of every individual.

This dynamic approach to workplace design is not longer beneficial, but essential for staying competitive and cost-effective. We invite you to explore how your business can benefit from similar transformations, ensuring that your physical spaces are as agile and forward-thinking as your business model.
