Modern Oman Bakery,

a true taste of tradition.

Modern Oman Bakery is one of the oldest bakeries in Oman, founded in 1982 with a network of 17 stores across the country. Over the past decade, MOB’s focus has shifted from focusing on Arabic bread to promoting celebration cakes, which imprinted a new brand image on the market.

STIRIXIS Group worked closely with the management of Modern Oman Bakery to ensure the repositioning of the brand in the market, reconnect it to its customer base and even expand locally in certain selected cities and locations with a reinvigorated mindset to services, products promoted and store ambience.

The project

Truly supporting our holistic approach, we designed a retail strategy to reposition Modern Oman Bakery in the local market ensuring long term return on investment and sustainability for the business. Based on the agreed strategy our team of experts developed a new brand identity and an architectural concept inspired by the Omani identity providing a distinctive ambience and creating a unique customer journey.

The new concept is the manifestation of a welcoming warm environment, that reflects the brand’s core values. The choice of materials, lights and equipment promotes both top quality and freshness of products and the layout invites the customer to explore the whole range of products and navigate easily throughout the store. The retail area is kept simple so that the products are better showcased and appealing to the customers. Regarding the store façade, an open and welcoming facade is designed, combining elements that reflect the tradition of the brand and inviting the customer to enter the store.

The store’s design ensures that throughout the customer journey, the environment is appealing and engaging the customer to discover the store’s products and inspire their trust. Modern Oman Bakery new store concept creates a unique ambience that reflects aromas, freshness and hospitality by triggering all 5 senses through stores’ layout, signage, scent, products and branding.

The concept design has been applied to 3 stores already with impressive results as the roll-out throughout the network will continue.
